Ashadeep Welfare Society has reached a new milestone. We are starting 2 years Diploma in Special Education (MR) from July, 2011. This course is approved by Rehabilitation Council of India. RCI , is the statutory body of Government of India, entrusted with conducting of special education in India.
This diploma course has immense employment scope. Opportunities are growing day-by-day with increased awareness in the field throughout the world. The latest Sample Survey and Census of India indicate that more than 2 Crores persons with disabilities require support in terms of education, training and rehabilitation. Scope in public as well as in private sector is mind-boggling. Needless to say that special educators are in great demand in India as well as overseas, but the supply is far short of.
How to Apply The diploma consists of four semesters and basic qualification is 10+2 pass. Rehabilitation Council of India issues advertisement in major national dailies in the month of December. Online application can be submitted in the month of January/February at www.rehabcouncil.nic.in along with required application fee. Entrance test is conducted in the month of March/April. Those who have cleared RCI online aptitude test can apply for admission before June 25. Prospectus is available at Jagjit Singh Sachdeva Ashakiran Special School, Jahan Khelan, Hoshiarpur- 146110 Punjab on payment of Rs. 200. Please send a DD for Rs. 250 in favor of Ashadeep Welfare Society payable at Hoshiarpur to get it by post/courier. Rs. 30,000/- (per year)
Tuition fee will have to be deposited at the time of counseling.
Second year tuition fee will have to be deposit before 15th of July. Late fee of Rs. 200/- per day will be charged for any delay in deposit.

Hostel Facility
Neat and clean hostel accommodation is available for girl students. Accommodation will be provided subject to availability on first come first serve basis.
Hostel fee will be Rs. 2500/- per month which will be payable in advance before 5th of every month. Late fee of Rs. 25/- per day will be charged for any delay. Security deposit equivalent of one month’s hostel fee shall have to be deposited at the time of admission which will be refundable after the completion of diploma.
